Brass knuckles inside a game, really?

In the gaming industry, it is quite common to create bundles that sell the game with other objects that can be found in the game, such as small statues of the main protagonist, a real-life military helmet, or even some really cool night vision goggles.
However, EA (Electronic Arts) have taken it a step too far. In April 2009, the game Godfather 2 was released for the PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3. The Godfather 1 was a big hit when it came out, so EA got to work and made a much-anticipated sequel with a limited edition version that could only be pre-ordered.
This limited edition of the game included a pair of 100% real brass knuckles (as advertised). This weapon is very common in the game and a favorite of the mafia. At the time EA thought that this was a very good marketing idea. The game did sell like hotcakes.

What EA didn’t know at the time was that in some countries around the world, brass knuckles are considered an illegal weapon which you need a permit in order to purchase.
