Starting A New YouTube Channel Experiment
This is my 1 month follow up on this project
Hello friends, as promised in my previous article, this is my 1 month follow to my YouTube project. I decided to start a new channel called Fun Facts Galore on June 18, 2022.
My goal is to share interesting facts videos about various topics and see if I can get monetized. To get monetized on YouTube and start collecting ad revenue you must get 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours to apply. After 1 month of building up my channel, here are my results.
I have created and uploaded 39 videos as of 1 month. My videos are basically top 5 (for shorts) and interesting facts on my longer videos. The longer videos average 7–10 minutes in length.

Starting this new channel has been a learning lesson and I look forward to going even higher by adding videos. My goal is to add 5 shorts (less than 1 minute long) per week and 1–2 full length videos as well. The more videos that are added the better my channel authority will be.
So, what exactly is YouTube channel authority, and how does it influence you?
To comprehend channel authority, you must first comprehend the YouTube ranking algorithm, which is a fancy way of saying “this is how YouTube ranks its videos.”

As you can see, there are numerous factors that influence where you appear in the search results. And it is these elements that will determine the success of your video content.
Next Month Goals
My goals for next month are to have 250 Subscribers, 400 watch time hours and 6 video views. I hope that these goals are not to high. Hopefully, I can get my channel monetized by years end and start making that ad revenue from Adsense.
