When I first started to write in Medium, I learned to put the call-to-action button on each of my stories. It includes all relevant articles, my bio, and also a link for an email subscription.

I want to gain as many views as possible. I want to seize every single chance to show my work. I simply want to be a marketer.

Yet, there was a time that one publication reached out to me and asked if they could publish my work. I got so excited and submitted my work straight away.

Then, this is what happened to my article:

There was a random link inserted in my article that was not relevant at all.

And at the end of the writing, they put this:

It feels like someone doodling on my painting or putting a random signature on my sculpture. I can’t stand it.
