Weather.com forecasted that on October 1, at 3 p.m., the air temperature in Jena, Germany would be 17 degrees Celsius. A weather-predicting artificial intelligence model that I built the weekend before predicted the temperature would be 15 degrees Celsius.
You might be curious about which was closer to the true temperature, and I will share it at the end of the article. But first, I want to tell you something interesting:
I knew absolutely nothing about meteorology when I first looked at the problem. I still don’t know anything at all. Yet, thanks to the power of artificial intelligence, I was able to predict the weather and be pretty close to the professional weather forecast. You can only imagine how useful artificial intelligence could be in the area of marketing and advertising.
