Social media is an excellent platform for marketing and promoting your company. Many entrepreneurs create social media profiles on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, and Pinterest for business purposes.
Each platform has its unique style. For a Facebook page or group, it is easier to gain followers; you can send an invitation to all of your friends. As for an Instagram business account, people do “follow for following,” but this method is not going to work well as people tend to unfollow you back after a few days.
All of these platforms can grow your business. But do you need all of them?
Engagement Rate
The factor that includes engagement rates is a comment, like, share, and more. Presently, if you are a small company and have many social media platforms, then having to respond to each comment or message might be hard for you. Therefore, the possibility of your engagement rate dropping is high.
Unless you have a big company, then having a lot of business accounts might help with your company growth. However, if you are a beginner, having one business account is fine, as you need to stay active in this account until you have other employees or hire someone who can handle social media better than you.
Gaining Followers
Obtaining a follower in social media might be hard for some people. Especially when you have numerous business accounts. You need to be consistent in creating content people want to see and giving feedback to every message from your followers.
If you have five business accounts, it is not easy to gain followers for each of them. Focus on one social media account and spend a few bucks for ad targeting. It’s up to you, though, if you want to use the extra cash for advertising or zero-cost marketing.
